BIZANTINOS
The Byzantine Empire lasted just over ten centuries and, of course, in such a long period often had to defend its borders threatened by other peoples. Domestically there were frequent rebellions and intrigues. Hence the need for a strong army, and to form it was used almost always to mercenary troops. The soldiers used a metal shell falls to the waist with leather. The principal leaders had a rich semi-circular layer, supported by the clavus or insignia of dignitaries. The shoes were soft leather and wrought silk stockings. The sword was elongating and shields took a very typical ogival form. The soldiers wore a short tunic and helmet protected his head with smooth metal shield and sword. Some bodies were skilled in handling the spears. Each had his standard shielded with different logos, but appeared in most Christian symbols. ---oOo--- Capitán y guardia de corps.
