The coat of the nineteenth century was adapted from a military jacket and became male garment label. It was in many ways, but basically it was a long-sleeved garment, knee, with flaps, collar, lapels, buttons and opening at the back. Like the coat, but straight forward. Many women's coats at the beginning of this century are based on the making of his coat.
