Jacques Fath

Diseñador francés (1912-1954). En 1937 abrió un salón y no tardó en ser reconocido como uno de los mejores modistos franceses, aunque hasta después de la II Guerra Mundial no alcanzó prestigio internacional. Fue famoso por sus siluetas curvilíneas, grandes escotes, cinturas diminutas y faldas de vuelo. Figura principal del mundo de la moda, no del todo reconocido, anticipó en 1939 el estilo de vestido que se llamaría New Look en la versión de Dior. Se le atribuye también la introducción de las medias de encaje de Chantilly en la parte superior de la pierna.

French designer (1912-1954). In 1937 he opened a salon and was soon recognized as one of the finest French couturiers, but until after World War II did not achieve international recognition. He was famous for her curvaceous figures, big necklines, tiny waists and skirts flight.
