Después de la guerra estudio en Fráncfort, más tarde marcho a estudiar a París donde se dejó influenciar por el refinamiento de los creadores de las escuelas parisinas.
Para sus clientes entre las que se encontraban Laura Bush y Senta Berger entre otras, estaba considerada más que una diseñadora una asesora de imagen, tal era el buen gusto por el que se distinguía.
Su fuerte era la moda para las mujeres de negocios y los
vestidos de cóctel
Su firma era ya el toque de distinción para cualquier evento de la vida social.
El 12 de Mayo de 2011 falleció al ingerir unas pastillas proporcionadas por una Institución suiza de ayuda al suicidio, a sus 76 años no podía soportar la idea de la vejez.
